Dear Bella

My sweet, sweet baby girl,

Today you are 38 weeks old, which is exactly how long I carried you in my belly. You have officially been on the outside as long as you were on the inside. That makes me sad and happy all at the same time. I loved having you all to myself, feeling you kick and flip, listening to your heartbeat and getting to know you like only I could. Of course now you are alot more fun! You amaze me more and more every single day. You are such a good baby...always smiling and laughing. You have big beautiful blue eyes and long eyelashes like your daddy. You are getting to be so outgoing and I love that. You never meet a stranger and always have a smile for everyone you see. You are loved so much. I hope you will grow up always feeling that love.

Happy Birthday Calvin!!

February 15th...the day my honey was born! He took the day off to spend with Bella and I. We started out the morning lazy. After some motivation (from me) we loaded up to head to Houston. We of course made our first stop at Starbucks and then headed to the Children's Museum. I had never been before but it was super cute and tons of things for kids to do and explore. I can't wait to take B as she grows older and do new things with her. There is a place on the 2nd floor called the "Tot Spot" for the babies. The floor/walls are padded and have things for them to crawl on and over. Lots of toys to play with and lots of things to explore.





After we left we went to eat sushi, stop by the store and head home. It was a good day. Happy Birthday Calvin. We love you!

So, this weekend is Joanna's bday, VDay and Calvin's bday. Busy! Tonight we are going to get some paint and trim for the hallway. Trying to get that project finished so that we can tackle the living room. Sunday, Kyle is cooking his famous pizza for the family and then Monday I am taking Calvin somewhere for his bday. He took the day off and the courthouse is closed so I figured we should go have some fun!

Hi!

I am a baaaad, bad blogger! I have been so busy that by the time I think about writing a post, I am too tired to follow through!

B is 8 months old already. She is getting to be so much fun! She is saying mama, dada, bye, hi and mumbling and screeching a ton. She will copy my sounds and it's so cute. She's also loving to give kisses and they are the sweetest kisses ever! She is crawling like a champ and cruising along the coffee table, headboard, etc. She will hold on to her playpen and let go and stand for a few seconds. I had to buy her a superyard to put in the living room because she is in to EVERYTHING. She loves for me to call my mom or her dad and put them on speakerphone.

We went to a birthday party at the end of January in College Station. It was my friend Shannon's little boy's first birthday. I think Bella was amazed that there were actually other kids besides her in the world. It makes me sad that I don't have any friends that live near me with kids her age. We also met up with my friends Brian and Emily and their two kiddos for lunch while we were in CS. I miss living there sooooo much!!

Last week my stepdad, Larry, was in an accident. My mom was watching B and I was luckily working close to home so I was able to rush her to the accident and then to the hospital. So, I've lost my babysitter for a little while. Tori watched Bella for me on Monday and Brianne is keeping her this week. I am hoping that my mom will be able to keep her next week. B is so crazy about her.

Work is crazy busy. I am working in Liberty at least. This project should last a few months and I hope when it's done that I will still be able to work near home.

8 Months!

How did this creep up on us? I hate how fast the time is going! Although B is getting to be more and more fun, she is definitely growing up way too fast for me. I saw her next to a newborn the other day and it seemed like just yesterday she was a tiny infant. :(

She is doing so many things. Crawling like a champ. Standing up and cruising along the coffee table, headboard, whatever. She says mama, dada, bye bye. She blows bubbles and smacks her lips when she eats. She laughs all the time and thinks I am the funniest person ever! She is eating like a champ. She loves eating whatever I am eating also. She loves ice just like her mommy. She also gets sick way too often lately. She is just getting over an ear infection. She had just gotten over another cold the week before that! ugh!! Hopefully we are on an uphill swing now and all this sickness is behind us. Come on summer!!

We are headed to College Station on Saturday to go to my friend Shannon's little boy's birthday party. He is 1. He is also the cutest thing ever and B's future husband. Hopefully going to be able to meet up with my friends Brian and Emily before the party.

Work!

My broker called to see if I could do a job out of town for him. I had previously told him I wouldn't travel, but since work is hard to come by these days, and the job wasn't TOO far, I took it. Luckily he doesn't mind if I only work a few days out of town and the rest at home...and even luckier is that my mom doesn't mind going with me so I am able to bring Bella!

We headed out on Monday and drove to Madisonville and got checked into the hotel, then I went to work for a few hours.

One of the things I was looking forward to about the location of this job was that it is close to BCS! I made plans with some friends and we headed out that afternoon to go meet them for dinner. Bella hasn't got to meet Shannon, Nicholas or Head yet so she was super excited...not as excited as I was though!

I miss my girls so much. I really wish we could move back to that area, but with Calvin's job...there is just no way. Anyway, we made plans to definitely start getting together more often and stop letting life get in the way.

I am headed back to Madisonville next week. Not sure if my mom and B will tag along or if I will go by myself.

Happy New Year (a little late!)

New Years day we loaded up and headed to Galveston for the day.

We took the "scenic" route on the way there and rode the ferry. I haven't been that way in forever. Did you know they search your car now before you get in the ferry? Anyway...here is a pic of us on the way over. We stayed in the car because it was coooold!

(forgot to mention that B decided to knock her lip into the coffee table on New Years Eve, so it looks yuk!)

After we got into Galveston we rode down the seawall, had some lunch at Landry's and then went to a giftshop for B some souvinir's. We did go down on the beach for some pics before we headed home.
