29 Week Appointment

Today we had our 29 week appointment. Not much to report and it was a fairly boring appointment. We did get to see Miss Bella, but just the backside of her. She would NOT turn, so no cute ultrasound pics for us :( I forgot to ask how much she weighs now, from reading my book it looks like she should be around 3ish pounds by now. Also, she's breech right now. Let's hope she flips. Next appointment is April 13th. She was going to start seeing me every 2 weeks, but since things are going so smooth and boring we are going to do 3 weeks one more time.

This weekend is my shower! I'm excited to see everyone. My friend Jana (Hot Jana as Hunter calls her) is coming to stay the weekend with me. We are going to a festival Friday night and then a poker game after the shower. I can't wait to see her, it's been too long. Some other friends are coming in from College Station for the day and I am really looking forward to that. I will post pics afterwards.

Not much else going on. We went to Austin last weekend to see my dad. He bought me a glider for the nursery. Calvin and I have been wroking on getting a garden done outside. That's about it. Hope everyone is good!

Third Trimester!!!

Finally! I thought the 2nd trimester was never going to end! Things are going good. One great thing to report is that I passed my gestational diabetes test, yay!! I also got taken off of one of my meds, so I am down to just my thyroid medicine, baby aspirin, 2 vitamins and my injection. This is a big deal considering I was taking about 9 pills at one point.

So here is the 27w bump shot:

Not too much of a difference than my last shot. Fine by me considering I still have several weeks left.

Friday we are heading to Austin to visit my dad and Debbie. Not looking forward to the drive, but I am ready to see them. Also, Calvin's brother, Rick, (from Colorado) will be here in about a week. He's staying for a month or so in Katy doing some work. I'm so excited for Calvin because he doesn't have much family and he is so close to Rick. We only get to see him about once a year. His wife, Patti, isn't going to be able to make this trip, but they are supposed to come meet Bella once she makes her arrival.

That's all for now, folks!

Dr. Appointment Today

Today was our 26w2d appointment. Everything went good. Bella weighs 1lb 15oz. I had my 1 hour gestational diabetes test, but don't have the results back yet. I'm praying I passed so I don't have to do the 3 hour test. I talked to her about the blood thinners. She said she was not planning on taking me off of the Lovenox. I told her I was concerned about not being able to have the epidural and she said that we would have to schedule an induction so that we could plan for me to be off of the Lovenox in time. So..this is probably going to be a May baby instead of June. Today was the first time that we did a 4d ultrasound that you could actually make out features on her. Here's a pic. It's a side profile, showing the left side of her face and her left arm going up above her head. You can also see her fingers from her right hand up near her left hand. I think she is going to have big pretty eyes like her Daddy. She had her lips puckered up so cute! Unfortunately the printer jammed while we were in there and she wasn't able to print it on the right paper, so it's not as clear...but here she is!

I go back in 3 weeks and then start seeing her every 2 weeks.

Next weekend I think we are going to try to head up to Austin to see my dad before I get too far along and don't feel like traveling.

My mom is coming over tomorrow to help me start on the nursery. The walls in there right now are a dark color so we have to white them out before we can start painting the nursery color, which I think is going to be a very pale yellow. Bella has continued to receive lots of goodies. My sister has bought her several outfits, my mom is always buying her clothes. She is going to be one well dressed girl! Also, they have started planning my shower, which is going to be on March 28th, can't wait!!

That's all for now. Hopefully I will have some nursery pics to post in the next couple of weeks. Hope everyone is doing good!

25 weeks!

I can't believe I only have 15 weeks left at the most. Things are going good. Here is a new 25w belly shot:

Also, one other pic:

These are letters that I made to hang in Bella's room. Am I crafty or what? :)

My next appointment is one week from today. Several things will be happening at this appointmnet. For one thing I will get another u/s, I will also have to do my one hour glucose test, so say lots of prayers that I pass with flying colors. I think my nurse also said I will be getting my Rhogam shot or at least I am being tested to see if I need another one. This time I am planning on talking to my ob about delivery. Since I am on blood thinners I am interested to see how this will all play out. From what I have read, my medicine will be switched around 35ish weeks to a shorter acting medicine that can also be easily reversed. Apparently if you have Lovenox in your system and you are in labor, you are not allowed to get an epidural and we don't want that happening!!

Bella is kicking like a wild woman and her kicks are getting harder by the day. I have noticed the past two days when she is doing her thing my belly will put on quite a show bouncing all around. So weird!

I will update next week after my appointment. Have a good week!

Things to not do when you are pregnant (and on blood thinners).....

(I should have taken a pic before it was all pretty and stitched up..it was deeeep and nasty!)

So yesterday around 3 my doorbell rings and this is what the UPS man brought me:

My sweet, sweet friend Christi sent me this as an early baby shower gift because she was also pregnant and was worried she may not be able to drive in from MS to be at my shower. Let me just say, I was EXCITED! We had both been eyeing this beauty for a while now. She had bought one for herself about a month ago and has gone on and on about how wonderful it is. It has a ton of different settings, plays my Ipod and has lots of different nature sounds, womb sounds and songs that are pre-loaded onto it. Actually, it’s probably only exciting if you are pregnant. Anyway, I drag it down my hallway and rip into the box only to discover that it’s being held down by some of those hard plastic zip-ties. I go get a knife out of the kitchen and cut through one of the ties..wam, right onto my finger somehow. I am on blood thinners and immediately started gushing blood. I knew it had gone deep, but could never tell how deep because I couldn’t get it to stop bleeding. I ended up going to the ER because I couldn't get it to stop and I figured I needed stitches. I was right.

Now, this is the said swing that caused all this excitement:

I wish they made one big enough for me to sleep in. I promise this picture does not give justice to its heavenliness. Bella is going to be one lucky girl.

Thanks so much Christi...and CONGRATS to you! Christi had her beautiful baby girl today around 11:30am. Happy Birthday Kelcie!!! Auntie Jennifer can't wait to meet you.

Happy Birthday Calvin!!

Today is the love of my life's birthday! 38 years old. This will be his best year yet, he finally gets to be a daddy. I know he is going to be the best one ever.

Last night we had some family over for his birthday dinner. Today we are going out to the deer lease so that he can shoot his new rifle he got for his birthday. The best present he says he got though, was that he finally got to feel his little girl kick this morning.

I love you Calvin!!

Happy Birthday Joanna!

Happy Birthday to my little sister! I can’t believe you are getting so old! Coincidence that your birthday is on Friday the 13th?? I think not!
