Doctor Today....

and Bella didn't like it one bit!!

Today was Bella's appointment for her 2 month shots. I've been dreading it for weeks! The day started out good. I took off work and Daddy came home early. We went for sushi, to the mall and then for Starbucks. Things went downhill after that! Poor baby girl's face turns SO red when they gave her the shots, but she only cried for a minute and has been fine since then. She had 3 shots in her legs and one oral vaccination. Poor girl! The doctor said she looks perfect. She is growing right on schedule and doing all of the things she is supposed to be doing. She is 21 1/2 inches long and weighs 10 lbs now!

2 Months Old (minus a day!)

Just wanted to post a couple of 2 month pictures of Bella Boo. Technically, she won't be 2 months until tomorrow, but I am super busy with work and thought I might forget.
Speaking of...work is going good. Not sure how long this project will last and if I will have another one after this, but I am enjoying it while I can.
Yesterday we went to Conroe for Calvin's dad's 80th birthday party. Afterwards we did some shopping at the outlet mall and on the way home we had some yummy sushi. Of course, I forgot to bring my camera, so no pictures of Bella with Grandpa Wayne.
This week Bella has to get her 2 month shots, yuk! I can't wait to see how much she weighs though. She seems like she is getting so big to me, but everybody talks about how tiny she is.

Back To Work

Today is my first day back at work (Bella will be 8w tomorrow). I can't decide if I am happy or sad about it yet. It's hard to stay home when you are used to 2 incomes though. I am looking forward to getting out and seeing people though. I am definitely not a stay at home kind of girl. I sure did enjoy the time home with Bella though. Luckily my broker has some work in Liberty Co. right now, so I will be close to home. I should find out a little more about the project this morning. I am not sure how long it will last, etc. Mike did say he would try to keep me busy close to home, but with the way the oil & gas business is right now, not sure how long term I will be working for him. Eventually, I may just look for some office work.

This past weekend we drove up to Etoile to visit Calvin's aunt. He hadn't been there in about 15 years. It was a nice road trip, but we were defintely glad to get back home.

In Bella news, she rolled over twice yesterday from her tummy to her back! My little girl is growing up :(

Girls Day Out

Saturday, Bella and I went to a baby shower for my friend Jana. I thought she was looking especially cute, so I wanted to share a picture of us.



Bella is getting so big and strong. She can push herself up with her hands when she is laying on her tummy. She is starting to stay awake alot more during the day, but continues to be a great night sleeper. She's been going down between 10-11 and sleeping til nearly 7 for the past few nights. I am loving this! Speaking of..it's time to head to bed now.

6 Weeks Already??

I should have taken a picture today to celebrate Bella's 6 week birthday, but I didn't. I am a bad mommy.

I had my 6w check up today and all was good. My mom went with me and we did lots of shopping for Bella Boo. She got several cute new outfits and lots of new bows. We also shopped for a friend's (Jana) baby shower gift. It will be Bella's first party to attend. Jana was actually Joanna's best friend in school. She has a twin named Dana. After we all got out of school we all worked at Wally World together and we all ended up being good friends. Jana used to call my mom Berta (her name is Becky), but we can't remember how it started. However, EVERYBODY calls my mom Berta now. Weird.

So yeah, not much to report....
