I can't believe it's been over a month since I blogged. Life has been busy and it seems I don't have much free time.

My sweet girl is growing up so fast. I was starting to get a little worried because it just seemed like she wasn't talking as much as she should be. About 3 weeks ago she finally decided to start though..and she doesn't stop. She tries to repeat most of what we say (which is going to bite us in the butt at some point!). She also started staying with a new babysitter. It's a girl that I went to highschool with that keeps several children in her home. She finally has some playmates.

Tonight we are headed to a hotel up by Hobby Airport to spend the night because tomorrow we leave for Denver! I surprised Calvin with a trip for his 40th birthday. I'm excited, but nervous about making the drive to Gunnison once we land in Denver.

I promise to be back with more pics after our trip....but til then, here's my sweet girl last night.

Happy New Year!

As usual, I've been slacking with the blog. Just seems like I never have a free minute lately. Bella had a blast at Christmas and got way too much stuff, of course. New Years was uneventful, which I suppose isn't a bad thing.

Since Tori's accident, my life consisted of coming to work, going to the hospital after work (and sometimes at lunch), picking up Bella, going home and normally eating something unhealthy for dinner because we were too tired to cook. Weekends were spent at the hospital too. It's exhausting. Tori was finally moved to a rehab hospital called TIRR in Houston. She came out of her coma at some point a couple weeks ago. None of the drs. bothered to tell us. We had been asking because we could see improvement and see she was doing more things, but the dr. would always say "no change". One day I happened to be talking to the nurse and I asked if it seemed like Tori was coming out of her coma and she told me that Tori wasn't in a coma. Yeah, thanks for letting us know. Ugh! She seems to be doing good. She will have to re-learn most everything. They have her up alot and she is making so many improvements. We are all so proud of her and just ready to have our Tori back. Unfortunately, since she is in Houston, I only get to see her weekends. And I don't even get to see her this weekend because Bella has strep throat.

Christmas Cards

Finally sending out my Christmas cards, I am so far behind this year. I ended up having to take some last minute pics of B myself and got the cards done the next morning and sent out that night. Whew! The pics are super cute though, so I wanted to share.

There's a party in my city!

B LOVES Yo Gabba Gabba. Loves it. I bought tickets back in May for a show in December. Calvin was worried that she was too young, but I just knew my girl would be crazy for it..and she was. She was dancing, singing, clapping the entire night. It was the best money we have spent in a long time!!

A little catching up to do

I am sure I have about a million things to catch up on, but right now I can only think of a couple.

We have been busy and not in a good way. 13 days ago my niece, nephew and 2 of their friends were involved in a tragic auto accident. The driver was killed instantly. Hunter and one of the other boys had some minor injuries. Tori was ejected and remains in a coma. We have all been devastated by this. If you know me, you know that Tori is just like my own good. She is always with me and she and Bella are crazy close. I miss that girl so much and can't wait for her to wake up.


My dad and Debbie rented a beach house for Thanksgiving. We headed down there Wednesday morning. The house was right on the water and when I say that I mean, you could fish off of the deck. It was super nice and very relaxing to spend some time there.





So that is pretty much all that is going on in our life right now. We work and we go to the hospital. I am going to try to get our tree up tonight. Tomorrow we are having a big benefit for Tori and then Sunday probably back at the hospital. Bella is doing awesome and growing up too fast. She is super sassy and I love that.

Deer Season!

Well..it's that time of year again. Opening season was this past weekend. We stayed at the lease all weekend and Calvin is still there. He took this week off of work to hunt. Here are some pics of my favorite little country girl!

Trick or Treat!

Although you can't tell in the pics..my little butterfly was a grouch!! And, I was right. We had a tooth explosion this last weekend. She got in a bottom molar and one of her eye teeth, with the other one not far behind it. Hopefully they will come on through and my happy little girl will be back soon.
