Work is keeping me super busy these past few weeks. I have been able to work from home quite a few days, but that keeps me even busier than when I have to leave. Almost every day last week I was at home and my niece Tori came over to watch Bella while I did some work. On Tuesday we went to Beaumont because I had to go do some things at the courthouse there. Tori and Bella came inside and sat in the lobby while I did my work, because I just had a few things to check on. On the way home, we made our normal stop at Starbucks. Ususally I just drive thru but B was hungry and so we decided to go in and feed her before the drive home. While we were in there it started pouring down rain. Hard. You couldn't even see outside. We were stuck in there for probably half an hour with the lights going off and on and the place so crowded because no one was brave enough to run out to their cars. Once we got back in the car and turned on the radio we found out there was a tornado that had touched down and taken off the roof of Kohl's. Starbucks is in that same parking lot! We weren't able to see the tornado I guess because of the rain. There were several cops in there with us and lots of people looking out, but no one saw it. Scary!!
The past two weekends were spent at the deer lease. Calvin is putting up a new stand and has been busy building it. It is sooooo hot! Bella loves to sit out on the porch and let me rock her on the porch swing. We keep a fan on us and it the heat doesn't seem to bother her. This weekend we have been more low-key. Yesterday we stayed home all day until around 8 last night and we went over to my brother's for a poker game. Bella slept and we hung out in my nephew's room most of the night. Today Calvin is back at the deer lease, but B and I stayed home. I am trying to get caught up on some laundry and other house stuff. Not an easy thing to do these days.
Bella is getting to be such a big girl. She is constantly smiling/laughing/babbling. She loves to watch the kids shows on tv that have bright colors on them. She is also becoming an even better sleeper. At night she has a bottle about 6:30, then she and I get in the tub around 7. Her dad comes and gets her out, rubs her down with her night time lotion and she is O-U-T by 7:30 for the night. Sometimes she may wake up at some point for a bottle, but always goes back to sleep. Sometimes she will sleep through til 6 or 7 the next morning. It's nice for Calvin and I to finally have some time alone again. Our anniversary is coming up in a couple weeks and we are thinking of taking a short trip somewhere, of course we are bringing B with us! We can't be away from her too long!
Who could stay away from this cute baby??
