Frio River '09

So, Bella had her first official vacation and she did great! After leaving Austin we headed West to meet up with lots of friends and family at the Frio River. Every year the Burnett family along with friends rents out all of the cabins at a campground for 10 days. There is always some planned activity going on whether it be golf, horseshoes, washers, a poker game, tubing or swimming to name a few. Also, each cabin is assigned their night to cook. I think the night that it was our cabin's night to cook we had close to 60 people to cook for. There was no shortage of babysitters for Bella if Calvin and I wanted to go do something. One day we did take her down to the river and put her in a boat and let her float around in the shade. She slept the entire time. Our campground has a great place that you can go swim without having to worry about floating. They even have some big rocks that the kids can jump off of. The river was low this year, but we did have some tubers come through anyway.
Of course, most of the pictures that I took are of Bella!

Every year, my sister-in-law Karla will make a "foot rock" for each child's first Frio trip. This is Bella (being held by her Uncle Kyle, getting her footprint done.

And this is her rock being glittered.

Bella and her cousin Marcus taking a nap.

Bella and her Daddy outside of Josh's, a cute gift shop in Concan.

My niece Tori and Calvin playing in the washer tournament our last night there.

Bella in her swimsuit. She hated her sunglasses (as you can see), but how cute is she??

My niece Tori.

My nephew Hunter. His stepmom bought him this hat at a garage sale for .25 as a joke. It turned into his Frio hat and he wears it every year. What a dork!
