Life!

Ugh, we have been so busy! Work is keeping both of us busy and then the weekends always seem to be filled with a root canal or house stuff or errands to run or parties or SOMETHING! I am ready to have a lazy weekend at home. I am finally finishing up a big project that I have been working on in Liberty and next week I am going to start helping out in the Beaumont office for a while. I am a little nervous that I am going to have a hard time with child care. My mom currently watches B most days, but right now my schedule is pretty flexible. However, when I work at the office in Beaumont I will be on more of a set schedule and definitely will be working every day at the office rather than some days at home. I can't imagine she won't get tired of this...we'll see. I am hoping at some point (soon) to be able to squeeze in a weekend to go to Austin and see my dad. We haven't seen him since Thanksgiving.

Friday we are going to take a drive and try to find some bluebonnets to get some pictures of Bella. It's Good Friday and we all have the day off. I think my niece Tori is even going to come along for the drive. Saturday we have a huge Easter party with the Burnett's. Sunday is church and then a big Easter lunch at my mom's with all of her family. Another busy weekend..... At least we are finally having nice weather.

Can you belive Bella is 10 months old? I can't! She is cruising around so much and getting so fast. I am not ready for her to be walking yet. She is so funny. She is babbling all the time and I wonder what she is saying. She laughs all the time and she thinks I am hilarious! She claps alot and has learned how to "give five". I love her!!

Hmmmm...trying to remember what all has been going on. Life has been crazy busy lately! I am so busy with work, we are trying to do some stuff with the house, and a ton of other things.

Bella is doing great. She is 10 months old this week. She finally got her first tooth on March 16. Can't see it good enough for a pic yet, but as soon as I can, you better believe I will be snapping some pics! She is babbling more and more. Clapping like crazy. Doing the "Itsy Bitsy Spider". And generally just being the cutest thing ever. Did I already mention that? Just look for yourself!



I'm excited about Easter, which is 2 weeks away. Hoping to get B somewhere this weekend to have her pic made with the Easter Bunny.

Calvin and I have been on a diet..I think forever now. Calvin's lost about 20 lbs...I've lost 2. What a jerk! :)

On a sadder note, we found out tonight that Calvin's brother's house burned down this morning. They lost everything :( They are in CO and don't have family there, not sure what they will do next.

So..that's about it I guess. Hope everyone else is doing well!

Fun in the sun! (Finally!!)

I was starting to think that w were never going to see the sun again. We have had so much rain lately and I am so over it!

We went to a 50th birthday party for an uncle today. Lots of family...lots of food...lots of fun!

9 Month Appointment

B's appointment went great today! She is 27 1/2 in. and 18lb 12oz. She is right on schedule and average height/weight. She did have to have bloodwork, ugh, but at least they got it on the first try. They check for anemia and lead. He told me to really push the sippy cup so that she will be easy to break from the bottle. Also, to give her what we are eating at dinner, which I pretty much have been doing already. Hopefully we won't be seeing the dr. again until her 12 month appointment in June.

She stands!!

Just a quick post! Bella has stood on her own a few times, like I would be holding her hands and let them go and she would stand for a couple seconds until she realized what was going on and she would sit down real fast.

But tonight I was sitting on the floor. B and I were sharing an orange and she crawled over to where I was sitting and stood up all by herself! She was super excited and stood for about 15 seconds or so!

Ahhhh, life

We have been chugging right along, but not doing much of anything exciting. Calvin has been working on the house (I wish I had been taking "before" pics). He got the hallway painted and is working on the trim and new baseboards next. After that we are starting on our living room...new flooring, paint, trim, baseboards, and hopefully a new front door. I told him he has til 5/27 to get this done. That is B's first birthday and I want to have it finished before her party.

Speaking of B...today she is 9 months old. She is getting more and more active and making us smile all of the time. She doesn't like to be held as much because she wants down on the floor to explore. She is pulling up and cruising along everything. She LOVES the dogs but Maggie loves her more than Max does. She is babbling about eerything but mostly everything is just "dadadadada". She only says mama when she is crying...of course. Oh, I joined a Playdate group. It's in Baytown. So far we have just met for lunch but I am hoping to get more involved this next week. I really want Bella to have some kids to play with. I have also checked into putting her in Kindermusik classes.

Calvin and I are headed out on our first real date since Bella was born. Joanna is coming over to stay the night and watch her. We are headed out for an early dinner and then going to the BBQ cookoff and the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo.

My sweet, sweet baby girl,

Today you are 38 weeks old, which is exactly how long I carried you in my belly. You have officially been on the outside as long as you were on the inside. That makes me sad and happy all at the same time. I loved having you all to myself, feeling you kick and flip, listening to your heartbeat and getting to know you like only I could. Of course now you are alot more fun! You amaze me more and more every single day. You are such a good baby...always smiling and laughing. You have big beautiful blue eyes and long eyelashes like your daddy. You are getting to be so outgoing and I love that. You never meet a stranger and always have a smile for everyone you see. You are loved so much. I hope you will grow up always feeling that love.
