I am getting really bad at this blogging thing!

We are all doing good, but not a whole lot going on.

I am just busy with work and taking care of B and running errands and just being boring.

Calvin is getting ready for deer season, ugh! He's been working on a new stand this week and started feeding the deer last week. We went to a Hunting Extravaganza (woohoooo) a couple weekends ago and he got a game camera. Hopefully he will have some nice traffic around his stand.

Bella is busy growing up and being sassy. She has finally gotten 2 more teeth, 4 total. She got her top left front on 8/10 and then her right front one came in yesterday, 9/18. Lately, she is loving the dogs, especially Maggie, who is the least lovable of all. Her Maw started babysitting again and so they have been busy running the roads. We are working on using eating utinsils, but she would much rather just use her hands. Some words she is saying now is: momma, dada, thank you, what's that, cracker (all food is cracker), up (because she has heard Tori yell shut-up to the dogs so much that now when she hears them bark she yells "up"), right there, gross....and some more that I am forgetting. She is so much fun right now. And now for some pics:

I've been out of school HOW long??

So, this past weekend we went to my highschool reunion. I went to such a small school that we have a reunion with several classes attending...and we still didn't have a huge turnout. BUT...we had a blast!!

We headed to Houston Saturday morning after dropping Bella off at my mom's. We met up with another couple for some lunch before checking into our hotel. We met a few other of the couples down in the hotel bar and then headed over to Sam Houston Racepark. One of the guys I went to school with had some connections there and we had the main suite reserved. Everything was super nice and we had so much fun catching up, meeting spouses, etc. Can't wait to see everyone again soon!






Oh..and by the way, it's been 19 years! Yikes!!

Yes, we're still here!

It's been a while since I have posted so I thought I would check in real quick!

We have been busy little busy at Casa Skinner. Seems like we never have a chance to just relax, which is really what we need.

Bella is getting big, big, big! She is so much fun and she is such a happy girl. She is walking, running, talking, laughing and also getting into a little bit of trouble. She cannot stay out of the dog food, the dog water or the toiler. Blech! All gross stuff! Hopefully she will get out of this phase soon!

Whew!

We've been busy and I am T-I-R-E-D!!

We decided to leave a couple days early and head to Austin before leaving for the Frio. Marcus even decided to join us. We drove up on Saturday morning and got to my dad's around 1:30. We just hung around the house most of that night. Sunday was Father's Day. Debbie and I cooked breakfast for the guys and then we headed to the pool and the splash pad. Bella LOVED it!

Afterwards we went home and got ready to head out to dinner. We went to a super cool place and had some yummy food and drinks. We came home and decided to rock out for the rest of the night!




Monday morning we headed toward the Frio. We met up with my cousin and parents in Hondo to grab some lunch and buy groceries for the week. We got to the campground around 3:30. We had a really good time all week. It was super relaxing. Unfortunately, I did not hardly take any pics and I am waiting for my cousin to send me hers. Bella loved the water. She liked to run across the rocks and always wanted to be where the water was running faster. She's crazy!



On the way home, we were stupid and stopped by a Basset Hound breeder's place...and ended up with Lucy!



She is super cute and has the longest ears ever. She steps on them when she walks and they are always in her water bowl when she is drinking. She is about 11 weeks old and seems to be adjusting to her new home really fast. We love her already!

Bella's New Babysitter

Yay for summertime! It means I am getting my very own live-in babysitter! Bella's cousin Tori is keeping her this summer and it gives me a little bit of a break. I was having to get myself ready and then pack up B to head to meet my mom everyday. The first 2 days Bella was still waking up at her normal time, around 6:30 but today she slept til 8:30, which made Tori a very happy girl! Tori said by the end of the summer she will have her sleeping til noon. I told her she better not.

Not much going on in our lives right now. This weekend we are having a sushi party at my house and then we are trying to get everything bought to head on our trip to the Frio. We are so ready to get out of town and head to a place with NO CELL SERVICE. Love it!!

Memorial Day!

My friend Shannon invited us down to their cabin at Lake Conroe for some swimming, burgers, beer and good company. We loaded up Tori and Bella and headed down for the day...and had an awesome time! I miss my Shan and don't get to see her nearly enough!
